Each of two rare centennial quarters and rare dimes is valued at $19 million.

In the world of numismatics, certain coins stand out not just for their age, but for their rarity, historical significance, and the stories they carry.

These coins are more than just pieces of currency; they are artifacts that encapsulate pivotal moments in history and the craftsmanship of a bygone era.

The first of the two rare centennial quarters is the 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter.

This coin marks the centenary of the United States' independence and represents a significant shift in coin design.

Created by Hermon A. MacNeil, the Standing Liberty Quarter features a depiction of Lady Liberty standing between two gates, holding an olive branch and a shield.

The 1916 edition is particularly rare because only 52,000 were minted before the design was modified in 1917, making it one of the most sought-after coins by collectors.

The second notable centennial quarter is the 1976 Bicentennial Quarter.
